Adult Watercolor Classes

Adult watercolor classes are taught by award-winning artist, Laura Peters.  Enjoy painting scenes from Laura’s recent trip to Italy.  All materials are provided.  The fee is $80.00 per class (a total of six hours of lessons).  Depending on the level of difficulty, some paintings shown on this page will require two classes to complete.

With every painting, the class will cover different techniques in watercolor such as:

Blending Colors

Glazing Colors

Mingling Colors

Pouring Colors

Masking Techniques (liquid and paper friskets)

Creating Textures

Unifying Washes

Separating Washes

How To Paint Whites That Sparkle

How To Paint Water

How To Fix Mistakes

            The emphasis of these classes is on painting.  You do not need to have refined drawing skills.  You will be using Laura’s designs in order to create your watercolor painting.  We will discuss composition with each class and how to set up a painting.  We will also be discussing what types of paper, paint, and brushes are best to use for specific results.
