When I was a grade school teacher I was always creating fun characters to bring as much joy into the classroom as I could. During that time, I created whimsical, cheery animals with humorous personalities. I discovered that these animals began to delight children of all ages. My work is now created with washes of color and then several layers of translucent colors are added one step at a time. The technique gives the painting a light and vibrant style. To my surprise, people enjoy purchasing my work for adults as well as children.
